Loops aren't a way of making music, it's just sticking a bunch of decent noises made by other people together. Start all from scratch and it makes the whole process a lot funner and that's how it became one of my hobbies. I'm not sure if you've tried, but try making music without loops. Loops are good for sampling sometimes but it's fun messing around trying to make a snare or a pitched kick or anything like that. Making melodies is hard but it's doable and you should try.
