I would like to add, because the pitch envelop was the only thing I figured out on my own, I found out that when the note releases, any taper off the pitch bends back to L4 at rate R4.
Usually you have to have a high R4 and somehow bring out the taper off for it to be noticeable.
I figured most of what you said out (except i thought the R and L knobs meant something from the Left side to the Right), I just don't understand any other Algorithms than 5

scaling just changes the volume of the oscillators on higher or lower notes, so its kinda useless
