From her first on-stage appearance in the musical "Showboat" to international tours performing in operas, musical comedies, nightclub revues and everything from Rock & Roll to Big Bands, GAEL MacGREGOR honed both her musical and dramatic skills. Most of her early training was purely classical, but one day she heard the song "Respect," and there was no turning back. Gael would later share the stage or studio with many of her idols, including Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Ben Vereen, Henry Mancini and Dick Dale (known as the King of the Surf Guitar -- whose music was the signature sound for "Pulp Fiction"). After years as part of a group or someone else's background singer, Gael is doing her own music her own way with her CD "You Ain't Too Tough" -- bluesy, good-time rock & roll mixed with country, R&B, and gospel that creates a new hybrid they're calling "Southern Soul."
