Definition of chillstep :-
A musical genre composed of dubstep tracks with chill undertones. Low bass, slow beats, add a female's voice to the hook and you've got some chill step. Any talented dubstep artist recognizes chillstep and produces chillstep tracks.
Examples: Soldier On (Rusko), Sierra Leone (Mt Eden Dubstep), Coffee Break (Zeds Dead), Dutch Flowers (Rusko Remix), Get The Money (PANTyRAiD), Massive Attack (Paradise Circus), I Remember (Caspa Remix)
Leithal 1 issue with what you said chillstep is NOT chill and dubstep IN ANY WAY chillstep is a chilled out music genre and chillstep doesn't have any type of drop like liquid dubstep (Jacoo is well known off of soundcloud for his chillstep and liquid dubstep) he has never used soundation but still chillstep is not chill and dubstep combined just FIY Leithal :) the reason I know this is because all I listen to is EDM all types( even the bad stuff) even liquid dubstep has a drop in ways chillstep is all chill music the drop is light and that is all I have to say
You know OPC there is an actual genre called Chillstep and many people on this site like the genre, just a heads up BC it isn't a bad genre to try out. And nice attempt at Chillstep ElectroWizard, but its not exactly in correct format to be called Chillstep, but keep trying! :) I would recommend looking for tips from some top users like Elizalde, Cosmic Candy, KE, Tydal Wave, Cyclosa, etc. And ask how to make genres you want to make. They've been here on this site a long time and know a ton of stuff on music production :)
