My advice. Use the instruments rather than the samples. The samples are cool to play with but you dont grow as a producer all to much. If you're wondering how to make your own drum patterns. Open up a drum machine or load up an spc drum pack, make and open a noteclip and start from c3. Last i checked (really long time ago) there was really no indication ANYWHERE that the drum machine and spc start at c3. Other than that you really just have a bunch of synths and shit so just make up a melody and chord progession and go on from there

Also dont be afraid to play with the fx. They add a whole lot more personality to whatever sound you make and can really help with mastering a track
