For something that was made with just the free account... I find that actually pretty cool. But I must agree, the high pitched stuff kind of almost blew my ears :P Tone it down a notch. I can't make that great of dubstep, but I know it well. You're missing the 3D effect and constant barrage of sound that makes people wanna move. That's all I got from it (excluding also the comments below).
I personally think the high pitched lead is alright, but if it were up to me I'd have a bit of variety. Like, do more switching between the high pitched lead and that growling thing (at 2:04 in the song) rapidly or periodically. I'd also have some more notes, like maybe have a section where the notes of the high pitched lead step down then back up again. (if that makes any sense). But otherwise, great Dubstep!
Yeah, the thing with OCCVLT is that I wanted to try ''Dubstep'' in general, just experament. I wanted OCCVLT to be simple, not too long (even if it is 5 min). I wanted to have that lil ''Bear Grillz/Zomboy'' thing, you know, the annoying lead in the drop. It's isn't Mono tho, it's Wub Machine. I'll surely make more dubstep in the future, but I'll stick with Trap haha. (Oh and btw, I really love high-pitched shit, people that follow me know that shit xD)
Two major things: number one, the mono sound in the drop is extremely irritating, its incredibly high pitched and just generally the sound design is lacking. Number two, the drums need to be compressed and equalized so that they come through at a more audible frequency. I felt as though the drums were more in the background. And especially for dubstep, its what should be driving the track. Excellent transitions, excellent chord structure, and very nice idea. keep up the good work!!
